Real Madrid transfer news: Liverpool boost but Chelsea stunned after major U-turn
REAL MADRID are reconsidering their bid to sign Roma goalkeeper Alisson in what could send shockwaves through the Premier League.
Real Madrid are in talks with Roma over a deal for Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson, who is also wanted at Liverpool.
But a stand-off over the valuation of the 25-year-old could see Real’s interest go up in smoke.
According to Spanish radio station Cadena SER, Real are rethinking their strategy in a major U-turn on their transfer plans.
President Florentino Perez will not be held to ransom over Alisson, with Roma demanding around £70m for their star.
And Candea SER claim new manager Julen Lopetegui is happy to push for Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois instead.

Courtois is out of contract next summer and negotiations over a new deal have collapsed.
The Blues therefore risk losing the Belgium international for nothing next summer, or selling him at a bargain price now.
All is not well at Stamford Bridge, with the club still seeking to replace manager Antonio Conte with Maurizio Sarri.
Transfer dealings have been put on ice until their managerial situation is resolved.

Real moving for Courtois - as Cadena SER claim - is bad news for Chelsea but it’s just what Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wanted to hear.
He is chasing Alisson as well, with Liverpool said to have already offered £49m for the shot-stopper.
Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet are tipped to leave the club this summer, with Alisson or Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak the two candidates to replace the current crop.
