Ervin Malden Jr., 65, passed away on June 15, 2018, in his home. He was the husband of Sarah Malden. They shared 28 years together. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, at noon at New City Church, 5335 Midway Drive NW, Cedar Rapids. Iowa Cremation is caring for Ervin and his family.
Born in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of Ervin and Shirlene Malden Sr. Ervin was a decorated military veteran who served 12 years in the U.S. Army. He recently retired from ADP and was a systems programmer.
He is survived by his spouse, Sarah Malden; children, Ervin "Bo" Malden III, Courtney (Carlton) Malden Williams, Calvin Malden, Greg "Gene" Williams and Ellanah Malden; siblings, Michelle (Danny) Starks and Brian Malden; granddaughter, Isabella Williams; uncle, Nelson; hosts of cousins, nieces and nephews; and numerous God-children who he gained throughout his years on Earth.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made payable to Sarah Malden for the Ervin Malden Memorial Fund at the University of Iowa Community Credit Union.
