Lakers news: LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George stunning claim made about trio
LEBRON JAMES, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George could all end up at the Los Angeles Lakers with some fans against the idea of the trio forming a superteam.
However, Fox Sports broadcaster Colin Cowherd has pointed out why in fact the moves could be GOOD for the NBA.
The Lakers currently have an exciting young core with the likes of Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball.
But it is their available cap space this summer which could catapult them to title contenders.
They have the money available to sign both James and George in free agency this summer while the recent news about Leonard suggests he wants to head to Los Angeles from the San Antonio Spurs.
In order to sign Leonard, the Lakers would likely have to give up a lot of assets which some fans have predicted could hurt the team’s chemistry.

If LeBron and Paul George and Kawhi Leonard end up in Los Angeles, the only guarantee is there’ll be no guarantee at the top
However, Cowherd believes the NBA would benefit from another superteam to challenge with the likes of the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets and Boston Celtics.
“If Kawhi, if Paul George, if LeBron went to the Lakers, settle down,” he said on The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
“It would not guarantee anything except this - we would now have four teams capable of winning a championship.
“We’d have the Golden State dynasty. We’d have this Lakers group of talented players.

“The Houston Rockets would still be really, really good and the Boston Celtics, a team I’ve predicted will win the title next year… you’d have four power teams.
“None of them perfect. Kyrie Irving gets hurt a lot for Boston. LeBron and the Lakers? A lot of chemistry issues.
"Golden State? Curry gets hurt and they weren’t as good this year. Houston? Had it and lost it.
“But this Laker move in my opinion solves an NBA problem, it doesn’t create it.
“If LeBron and Paul George and Kawhi Leonard end up in Los Angeles, the only guarantee is there’ll be no guarantee at the top. We’ll have four teams capable of winning and also a team in Philadelphia which could also be very scary over the next couple of years.”
