AK 56 recovered in Garu village

214 Battalion of CRPF and Latehar district police on Monday recovered one AK56, said Commandant of 214 battalion of CRPF Ajay Singh. Sources said it has been recovered at village Kuyee under Garu police station which is a kendu leaf hub and here the stake of the extremists be they are CPI Maoists or JJMP is too high.

The extremists in Garu  range of Palamu tiger reserve have almost imposed their diktat forcing PTR officials to keep at bay from their jungles and wild life a fact PTR’s senior officials right from field director to deputy director have conceded.

According to Commandant 214 battalion of CRPF, the joint team recovered 25 round of magazine fire, 34 round of loose fire, one pouch, one blanket, one sleeping bag, and one cell phone charger.

The weapon and ammunition were of Jitan Singh Khatwar an area commander of JJMP who is a two lakh worth ultra in the eyes of the state police said SP Latehar Parshant Anand.

Giving details Commandant Singh said, “The joint team recovered these articles including AK 56 perfunctorily buried near a Mahua tree as this Jitan Singh Kharwar might have thought we could not spot or sight his Ak 56 and other things but our men did a good job and found it out.”
