Folks in the neighborhood south of Mt. Pleasant High School didn’t appreciate the noise or the early-morning serenade Saturday.
Police were called to the 1100 block of Glenwood just before 4 a.m. for a man screaming and yelling.
“An officer approached the suspect and could hear the suspect yelling screaming and sometimes singing,” said Jeff Browne, public information officer for the Mt. Pleasant Police Department.
With the attention of police now, the man upped the volume.
“The officer attempted contact with the suspect and the suspect walked past the officer and started singing louder,” Browne said.
Agitation followed, with the man yelling and screaming at the officers.
He was arrested for disturbing the peace.
Police say he’d been drinking.
