Hry gears up to celebrate Yoga day

Haryana Government has geared up to celebrate the International Yoga Day on June 21 in a befitting manner across the State. Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki and Chief Minister Manohar Lal will be the chief guest at functions to be organized in Panchkula and Jhajjar respectively to mark the 4th International Yoga Day on June 21.

The State Government has decided to organize the Yoga day upto the block level in Haryana. Events will be organized in 140 blocks in all 22 districts of the state on this day, said an official spokesman.

Around 1.25 lakh saadhaks (practitioners of Yoga) would perform Yoga in all the programmes across the state on June 21. Ministers, MPs and MLAs would also participate in  these programmes.

He said that while Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma would be the chief guest at a function to be organized at Gurugram, Health Minister Anil Vij would be at Ambala, Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh at Rewari, Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain at Sonepat, Transport Minister Krishan Lal Panwar at Yamunanagar, Industries and Commerce Minister Vipul Goel at Faridabad, Minister of State for Cooperation Manish Kumar Grover at Kurukshetra and Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Kumar at Panipat.

Similarly, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Karan Dev Kamboj would be the chief guest at Karnal, Minister of State for Public Health Engineering, Banwari Lal at Kaithal, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nayab Singh Saini at Nuh, Member of Parliament, Ramesh Kaushik at Palwal, MP Dharamveer at Bhiwani, MP Rattan Lal Kataria at Rohtak and state BJP chief Subhash Barala at Jind, the spokesman added.
