Several thousand customers remain without power Tuesday morning after a series of thunderstorms hit the region Monday night.

The largest of the outages is centered in Saratoga County with about 775 customers without power there. Approximately 500 of those are in Wilton. Several hundred more are east of Saratoga Springs and there are more than 600 outages in Washington County as well.

There are approximately 200 customers without power through out Schenectady, Albany and Rensselaer counties.

The estimated restoration time for the outages, according to the National Grid outage map, is 6 p.m.

Tuesday's weather will be a lighter version of Monday's sticky heat with a high of about 80 degrees but high humidity, according to the National Weather Service.

Unlike Monday, there won't be any rain to bring relief from the heat. Tuesday is expected to be sunny with a light breeze. Temperatures will fall to a more seasonable 50 degrees overnight in to Wednesday.
