In Kerala, Yoga Ambassador Tour that aims to propagate the state as a global destination for yoga, is visiting different places in Idukki district.

Around 60 yoga exponents from 22 countries are participating in the Yoga Ambassador Tour.

The tour has been organised by Association of Tourism Trade Organisations, India(ATTOI) in association with Ministry of Ayush and Kerala Tourism.

AIR correspondent reports that the tour will conclude on International Yoga Day on 21st of this month.

The Yoga team is visting the main tourist centre, Tekkady in Idukki on Monday. The participants in the event include yoga instructors, researchers, disciples, tour operators, and yoga admirers .

The tour was officially inaugurated by Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of state), Ministry of AYUSH on June 14 and will conclude on June 21,the International Yoga Day.

The tour started from Trivandrum and headed to Kanyakumari, Kovalam, Alleppy, Kumarakom, Thekkady and will visit Munnar and Kochi.

The 10 day tour aims to familiarize participants from various countries with the concept of yoga in Kerala and to connect different destinations with yoga and to promote the state as a yoga centre.
