In Tripura, with no further rainfall and decrease in the water level in the rivers, the flood situation is improving in the state.
State Emergency Operation centre officials told AIR that people are returning to their houses from relief camps.
In Unakoti district also, the life is returning back to normalcy.
AIR correspondent reports, in Unakoti district, the situation has started becoming normal.
District Administration officials told AIR that around 75,000 people have taken shelter in 139 camps in Kumarghat and Kailasahar subdivisions of the district. The rescue operation is over now.
The road blockade has been cleared and vehicular movement has started. However, the waterlogging situation is still prevailing at some places in the district.
Meanwhile, personnel from the water resource department, NDRF, Tripura State Rifles, Assam Rifles and local people have swung into action to repair cracks in some river embankments of the district to avoid flushing out river water through those embankments.
