India has reaffirmed strong commitment to take forward its relationship with Italy. MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar in a tweet said, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today met her Italian counterpart Enzo Moavero Milanesi in Rome. He said, the two leaders reviewed all aspects of bilateral relationship and exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. Ms Swaraj reached Rome yesterday on the first leg of her four nation European tour.
Today, Ms Swaraj also met Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and congratulated him on assuming the high position. It is the first major political exchange between India and Italy following the swearing-in of Mr Conte as Italy’s new Prime Minister on the 1st of this month.
Meanwhile, after concluding her visit to Italy, Ms Swaraj has reached France.
