Tarragon, a perennial herb in the sunflower family, often is used in French cooking -- particularly, chicken, fish and egg dishes. But add carbonation and make it a soda?
ThisWeek staffers answer the question: Would you drink tarragon-flavored pop?
Dennis Laycock: I'd try it. But spice-flavored soda doesn't have the best track record. Remember Pepsi Holiday Spice?
Lisa Proctor: Ginger ale is as adventurous as I get.
Nate Ellis: Not sure but knowing your strict beliefs regarding the term "pop," I'd be more interested in tarragon-flavored soda.
Andrew King: I’d certainly try it. Hopefully it doesn’t taste like aspartame.
Scott Hummel: I'd try anything once, but I almost guarantee I wouldn't like it. I like the taste of sunflowers, but I don't think that flavor would work carbonated, assuming it tastes like sunflowers.
Neil Thompson: I certainly would try it, but I'm not sure it would be for me.
Abby Armbruster: I don't think I would drink more than a sip, but it sounds like it would make a good Popsicle flavor.
Sarah Sole: I'd try it.
Lee Cochran: I give myself one soda a month so I wouldn't want to use that on a gamble. Otherwise, sure, I'd give it a try.
