Yogi: Centre helped UP achieve new heights

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that a better co-ordination between the State and the Centre has helped Uttar Pradesh to achieve new heights because the Government is working with “clean intention” to serve people.

Addressing the NITI Ayog meeting in New Delhi on Sunday he said that the UP Government is seriously working to implement the decisions of the Union Government in letter and in spirit.  “The decisions like strengthening infrastructure and providing relief to the farmers are being implemented with right earnest because this government believes in Sabka saath sabka vikas — which is the true indictor of development,” Chief Minister said. He narrated in detail about the progress State Government had made in agriculture, health, urban and rural housing sectors, infrastructure development and introducing job oriented projects.

“UP Government has set up 20 new Agriculture centre and linked mandis with markets though e-NAM project.  Crop loan of over 86 lakh farmers have been waived of. Government purchased wheat and paddy directly from the farmers. Government has so far paid Rs 6663.32 crore directly to the paddy farmers,” he said adding that Government had taken special initiative to clear cane dues. He also thanked Union Government for introducing special package for sugar mills on molasses saying this decision will also help the farmers of Uttar Pradesh.

“In health sector Government has State dialysis facilities in 6 divisional and 4 district level hospitals. Besides, 150 Advance Life Support Ambulance scheme has been launched.  Aayushman Bharat is a special scheme which will transform the lives of the people living in rural areas,” he said adding that new medical colleges will come up in Faizabad, Basti, Bahraich, Firozabad and Shahajahanpur in first phase and in second phase medical colleges will be constructed in Etah, Hardoi, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur, Sidharthnagar, Deoria, Ghazipur and Mirzapur.

Yogi also talked about Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Rural and Urban areas. “In last fiscal UP got first place in India by constructing 8.85 lakh houses while in this fiscal target is to construct 2 lakh houses,” he said.
