Adani Green Energy shares up 5% on debut

Shares of Green Energy, an associate company of Enterprises, rose by 5 per cent today in its debut trade post

The stock opened the day at Rs 28 on BSE. It later soared 5 per cent to Rs 29.40 -- its upper circuit limit.

At NSE, shares of the company listed at Rs 30 and closed at Rs 31.50, a gain of 5 per cent from the opening price.

In terms of equity volume, 1.77 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 70 lakh shares changed hands at NSE during the day.

The company's market valuation stood at Rs 4,598.20 crore.

Enterprises in October last year announced plans to demerge its business into associate company as part of simplifying overall business structure.

Post scheme, (AGEL) was listed on the exchanges.
