The stock opened the day at Rs 28 on BSE. It later soared 5 per cent to Rs 29.40 -- its upper circuit limit.
At NSE, shares of the company listed at Rs 30 and closed at Rs 31.50, a gain of 5 per cent from the opening price.
In terms of equity volume, 1.77 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 70 lakh shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
The company's market valuation stood at Rs 4,598.20 crore.
Adani Enterprises in October last year announced plans to demerge its renewable energy business into associate company Adani Green Energy Ltd as part of simplifying overall business structure.
Post demerger scheme, Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) was listed on the exchanges.
