LEE – Three people from Chicago suffered minor injuries after a crash Friday evening that sent their SUV airborne and rolling, according to a news release from the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.

Alejandro Contreras, 21, of the 1900 block of West 22nd Place, was driving a white 2015 Ford Escape westbound in the 800 block of Perry Road with twin sisters Destiny and Aubreyella Sauseda, 22, of the 2700 block of South Spaulding Street, in the SUV about 5 p.m. Friday when he lost control in gravel on the road, the release says.

The SUV went through the ditch, hit the driveway at 803 Perry Road and went airborne before rolling twice and coming to rest on the passenger side about 50 feet west of the driveway and 30 feet from the road, the release says.
