Havells appoints Dr Mukul Saxena as executive vice president & chief technology officer (CTO)

Havells India has appointed Dr. Mukul Saxena as its executive vice president & chief technology officer (CTO). Saxena will head Havells’ Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI) function.
Saxena brings with him over 34 years of global experience across energy, industrial automation, digitalisation & healthcare sectors with expertise in R&D, strategic planning, project management, innovation & technology management, product development for multiple industry segments.
Prior to joining Havells, Saxena headed Siemens Corporate Research & Technologies, India Labs (CTI). He worked in Siemens as Sr. Vice President & Head of CTI. He started his career with GE Corporate R&D Centre in Niskayuna, NY (USA) and relocated to India in 1997 to join Eicher Goodearth as Dy. General Manager for Engineering Systems. In 2000, he moved to GE-ITC (John F Welch Technology Center) as Technical Director for Advanced Mechanical Engineering and later worked as their only non-US based Global Technology Leader for Mechanical Technologies.
Saxena is a Ph.D. & M.S. from University of Rochester, New York, USA and Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical) from IIT-Kanpur.
