Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who has been on a hunger strike since June 13 at the Lieutenant-Governor’s office at Raj Niwas, was on Monday shifted to LNJP Hospital after his health deteriorated, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said.
"Manish Sisodia's ketone level reaches 7.4. Yesterday it was 6.4. ideally it should be zero. 2+ level is considered to be danger zone. Team of doctors reaching LG house to see him (sic)," Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj said in a tweet.
“Manish Sisodia being shifted to hospital,” Mr. Kejriwal tweeted soon after.
Health Minister Satyendar Jain, who had been on indefinite fast since June 12, was on Sunday night hospitalised after his condition deteriorated. He was taken to the LNJP Hospital where his condition is stable, doctors said.
Mr. Kejriwal, his deputy Mr. Sisodia and Gopal Rai have been staging a sit-in inside Raj Niwas since June 11. They are demanding that Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal intervene to end what they call an illegal strike by Delhi government officers.
