The ED sources said that the Central government's investigating agency last week has served a notice to Nalini Chidambaram requesting her to depose before its officials in relation to the case of Saradha chit fund at 11 am on June 20.

This is the 4th notice to have been served to Nalini Chidambaram after her name appeared during investigations that she was one of the beneficiaries from now the defunct company.

They said earlier on three occasions notices were served but each time Nalini Chidambaram could not appear for pre-occupation.

The ED officials investigating the scam need to know if Nalini Chidambaram had received any money from Sudipto Sen, who is now in jail and the kingpin of the scam, that ruined many poor families who invested in ponzy firms.
