AHMEDABAD: A 19-year-old girl from the Chandkheda area of the city, the daughter of an Ahmedabad police constable, on Monday accused a 22-year-old youth of molesting her. The girl filed an FIR with Chandkheda police station stating that the accused, Harshesh Patel, tried to molest her when she home alone on Sunday evening.
“I was watching TV at our apartment on Monday evening. My mother was downstairs and my father was sleeping on the terrace. The accused, who lives in the flat opposite ours, came to my house and started staring at me. When I asked him if he needed anything, he said ‘We are alone in the house and should make the most of the situation’. He then held my hand, pulled me towards him and held me in his arms. I told my parents about the incident and then approached police,” reads the FIR. tnn
