Chrome And Carbon Bugatti Veyron Would Sure Look Sweet In Your Driveway

Most of us hypercar fans would consider ourselves eminently fortunate to have a Bugatti in our driveway. A Chiron, an EB110, an vintage grand tourer, a pre-war grand prix racer… we’re not so picky that we’d turn any of them down. But this one right here has to be one of the sweetest we’ve seen yet.

It’s a 2008 Veyron. Not a Grand Sport, Super Sport, or Vitesse roadster. Just a “plain old” Veyron. But what’s caught our attention, as it likely has yours, is its color treatment. Or rather, lack thereof.

This Bugatti is decked out in a combination of chrome and bare black carbon fiber that’s hardly what you’d call “subtle,” by any stretch of the imagination, but somehow makes other Veyrons look somewhat overwrought (to our eyes, at any rate). It’s so devoid of color that we’d almost think the photos were desaturated to the point of black and white, if not for the red emblem and tail lights.

Same goes inside the cockpit, where it’s all black and carbon with the exception of the hazard-flasher button on the center stack.

If you’re as enamored as we are, we have good news, and we have bad news. The good news is that it’s available for purchase. The bad news, as you might have guessed, is that it’s expensive, in typical Bugatti style. Pegasus Auto House in London has it listed, with just, 8,172 kilometers (5,078 miles) on the clock, for £1.375 million, or roughly $1.825 million at current exchange rates.

Despite its location, though, it’s a left-hand-driver, so it should be a cinch to drive on American roads, or European ones, or really anywhere but the handful of countries that drive on the right. That is, at least, in so far as manhandling a thousand-horsepower hypercar could be considered a “cinch,” anyway.
