The Albany Dutchmen fell short, 10-2, to the visiting Amsterdam Mohawks during Perfect Game Collegiate league play Sunday evening in Loudonville.
Mike Antico tripled and scored and Sam Praytor doubled to get things going for the Mohawks, who would lead 2-0 after the first.
Praytor, his second of the night, and Richie Nizza had a pair of doubles in the third to help put Amsterdam up 7-0 going into the fourth.
After falling behind 10-0, The Dutchmen finally got things going in the bottom of the eighth. With two outs and one on, Ubaldo Lopez doubled, scoring Lucas Dunn.
After holding the Mohawks for two innings, Golston Gillespie homered in the bottom of the ninth, but it wasn't enough to pull the Dutchmen from behind, leaving them trailing by eight.
Gillespie finished 1-for-3, with one run scored and an RBI. Praytor finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored. The Mohawks improved to 7-6 while the Dutchmen fell to 7-5 overall.
