Michael T. West, 71, passed away on June 14, 2018

Michael T. West 71, died Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Newton Presbyterian Manor. He was born Oct. 12, 1946 in Kansas City, Mo. to Leo and Lucille (Winter) West. On May 10, 1969 he married Mary Topping at Lawrence, Kan.,and she survives of the home.
 
Michael was a retired chemical engineer with NCRA.
 
He is survived by: his wife Mary of the home; daughter, Michelle and her husband Corey Janssens of Newton; two grandchildren, Julian Marshall and Ellie Marshall.
 
Mike is preceded in death by his parents.
 
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday June 19, at the Newton Presbyterian Manor Chapel with The Reverend Nicholas Voelker presiding. Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday June 20, at the Memorial Park Cemetery 1517 East 15th in Lawrence, Kansas with the Reverend Jeff Ernst presiding.
