Palanpur: Two persons were killed and four others injured when a Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) bus collided with a multi-utility vehicle (MUV) on Ambaji-Mount Abu highway on Monday.
The collision took place on a sharp curve near Amblimal village some 3km from Ambaji. The impact of the collision resulted in bang so loud that people from nearby village rushed to see what had happened. The traffic on the highway remained jam for over one hour.
The bus was going towards Mount Abu from Ambaji and collided with MUV coming from the opposite direction, said sub-inspector KS Chaudhary of Ambaji police station
Two persons including the jeep’s driver, died on the spot, while four injured were rushed to Ambaji referral hospital.
The deceased have been identified as the MUV driver Rustamkhan Pathan (50), a resident of Surpagla in Abu Road Taluka of Shirohi district in Rajasthan, and a passenger Aabidbhai Fakir (20).
