Ant McPartlin and Anne-Marie: TV host 'finds love with PA' as Lisa tweets heartbreak

Saturday Night Takeaway favourite Ant, 42, is said to have grown close to Anne-Marie, also 42, during recent turbulent months.

Sources told The Sun Ant was in no way linked to the breakdown of her marriage.

Speaking about the newfound romance between Ant and Anne-Marie, an insider told the publication: “Anne-Marie’s put him back together again.

“Everyone’s thrilled he’s found someone to love.

“They have been living in each other’s pockets, day in, day out,” they added.

“Knowing someone is there for him as brought him back from the brink — she’s put him back together again.”

The source added: “It’s very early days, but everyone is hoping he can put thew worst year of his life behind him and find happiness again. Both of them deserve it.”

According to the report, Ant and Anne-Marie’s relationship has “always been strictly professional” but recently grew to more than friends.

“Both of them are single so they decided to try and see whether something could happen,” a source said.

They reportedly struck up a romance in the months following his split from Lisa.

“They haven’t actually been on any official dates but they’ve been seen together, with Ant always beaming from ear to ear.”

A representative for Ant declined to comment.

Ant confirmed his split from wife Lisa, 41, in January, with his representative saying in a statement: “In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.

“Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families,” the statement continued. “No further statement will be made.”

Since the report of his new relationship, Lisa took to Twitter to share two broken heart emojis followed by a full heart with her 116,000 followers.

She also liked a series of messages about the report from fans.

One read: “Just read the latest. I’m so sorry, you deserved far better than that.

“It must hurt a lot. I wish you all the happiness in the world for the future.”

Ant has has a troubled year, having entered rehab to help tackle his addiction to prescription pain medication last summer.

Having completed a two-month stint, he later returned to the limelight, presenting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! alongside his long time professional partner Declan Donnelly, 42.

Just months after confirming his split from Lisa, he was involved in a three-car collision in south west London and subsequently convicted of drink-driving having pleaded guilty.

The ITV star was given a 20-month driving ban and fined £86,000.
