In the Football World Cup, Serbia beat Costa Rica by 1-0 in a group E match at Samara today. Serbia’s Aleksandar Kolarov converted a free kick into a goal at 56th minute of the game. Serbia is back at the World Cup for the first time since 2010.
An exciting match is now underway in Moscow where Defending champion Germany is taking on a vastly experienced Mexico in their group F match. The Germans are also trying to become the first team in 56 years to successfully defend the title, after Brazil did so in 1962.
In the third encounter of the day, five-time world champions Brazil will take on Switzerland at the Rostov Arena at 11.30 p.m. Brazil are the most in-form side going into the tournament with 17 wins in 21 games. On the other hand, the Swiss outfit, ranked sixth in the world, will be trying to reach the quarter-finals for the first time in 64 years.
