WWE news: John Cena's wrestling return confirmed - When is he coming back?
JOHN CENA’S next in-ring appearance is set to take place at WWE Super Show-Down in Melbourne, Australia.
The historic live show will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). It will stream live on WWE Network and be available on Pay-Per-View around the world.
Rumours suggest Cena will come back at SummerSlam but this is the first official date confirming an upcoming appearance from the 16-time world champion.
The ex-WWE Champion will be joined by other legends like The Undertaker, Triple H and Shawn Michaels as well as some of WWE’s biggest superstars like AJ Styles, Ronda Rousey and Daniel Bryan.
This will be WWE’s first ever tour Down Under since 2002 when Vince McMahon booked Global Warning and had Triple H, Brock Lesnar and The Rock compete for the WWE Undisputed Championship in the main event.

WWE Super Show-Down will be an epic event
McMahon will organise the live event in partnership with Paul Dainty, President and CEO of TEG Dainty.
The WWE Chairman and CEO said: “WWE Super Show-Down will be an epic event. Our partnership with Paul Dainty reflects our ongoing commitment to the market and provides an opportunity to deliver an event of this magnitude.”
Cena’s last match took place in WWE’s last big live show at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia where he beat legendary rival Triple H.
The bout took place shortly after his shock loss to Undertaker at WrestleMania 34 where he got destroyed in less than three minutes.

The Champ, however, isn’t expected to have a rematch with Taker as The Deadman will take on Triple H for the very last time.
Dainty said: “WWE Super Show-Down will be one of the biggest sports and entertainment events of the decade.
“After the historic Global Warning event in 2002, TEG Dainty is excited to be making history once again with WWE.
“Australia has always been a special place for WWE, and our fans are among the most enthusiastic on the globe.
“This once-in-a-lifetime spectacular will showcase Australia to a global audience of millions in one of the world’s most iconic sports stadiums."
Cena has been working on a part-time basis with WWE as he has started a career in Hollywood and is tied with several movie deals.
