Toddler among 5 people killed after vehicle overturns outside Vaalwater

Five people have died after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned on the R33 outside Vaalwater, Limpopo on Saturday afternoon.

Police spokesperson, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, said the five were travelling in a white Ford Figo, along the R33 at around 16:00, when the driver lost control of the vehicle around 30km from Vaalwater.

Ngoepe said five people were killed instantly, including a three-year-old girl, a woman in her thirties and three men, aged in their thirties and forties.

He said the identities of the people had not yet been determined.
 
Ngoepe said anyone who could assist police with the identification of the deceased was requested to contact Captain Malesela at 082 414 2012 or may contact Dorset Police Station outside Lephalale.
