Youth commits suicide in Bokaro thermal

Unable to deal with financial crisis and unemployment, a 29-year-old man allegedly commited suicide in Kashmir colony in Bokaro thermal police station limits on Friday. He has been identified as Shankar Kumar son of Chinta Sonar.

Originally a resident of Kashmir colony, phase-ll in Bokaro thermal Shankar had been living in Jamshedpur for the past few years with his wife Upashi Devi.He recently came at Bokaro thermal and worked as driver for private vehicle. “Shankar was dealing with a lot of financial strain due to debts, which forced him to take the extreme step,” said sister -in law Parwati Devi.

Shankar lived with his parents in CCL quarter accommodation(type-VIII /60) in Kashmir colony,while his wife was at Jamshedpur.On Thrusday evening he was sleeping alone in a room while his family members was not at home. When his elder brother entered his room in the evening, she saw his body hanging from a hook in the topmost cabinet attached to the wall, police said.Just after knowing about incident this morning, ASP Subash Chandra jat alongwith Dy SP,Alok Kumar,and Inspector Parameshwar Leyangi reached the spot and started its investigation.
