Mayor Koneru Sreedhar on Friday condemned the adverse comments on development in State by the Leader of the Opposition and YSR Congress Party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
In a press conference here, Mr. Sreedhar said that the YSR Congress party ignored the the development work in the city for the past four years. He said thousands of crores had been spent in developing the city.
He came down heavily on Mr. Jagan and said that the works for the two much-needed flyovers began only after TDP was voted to power. “It seems the only agenda of Jagan’s padayatra is to divert public from reality by denigrating the government’s achievements,” Mr. Sreedhar said. He alleged that Mr. Jagan colluded with the Bharatiya Janata Party which is interested in encouraging corrupt politicians across the country, only to malign the image of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. “Like Jagan, his party leaders and corporators in the city are also busy in finding opportunities to earn money illegally. They could not see the development in the city,” he said.
