A £2 coin bearing a Florence Nightingale design, which has a rare error, has been listed for the hefty sum of £199.
The £2 coin was minted in 2010 and features a hands design: one person holds another person’s hand in theirs.
The coin is listed by eBay user mjamal44 who has a 100 per cent positive feedback rating on the site.

The listing description explains that the coin has a particular error.
This is quality likely to make it more valuable among collectors.
It reads: “Florence Nightingale £2 coin circulated hence bit of scratches. Very rare. Minting error.
“Dots are missing in front of the Queen’s face. Writing is upside down when Queen’s face is facing upwards. Huge flaw in minting process.”

The reverse design is a creation by Gordon Summers and the edge inscription reads “150 years of nursing”, according to the website.
The description reads: “The 2010 £2 coin, designed by The Royal Mint’s Chief Engraver, Gordon Summers, marked both the centenary of the death of Florence Nightingale and the 150th anniversary of the publication of her Notes on Nursing, celebrated in 2009.”
It also notes that the coin has a mintage of 6,175,000.
The coin, listed by user becca_langton, is listed for the remarkable price of £400.
