Cristiano Ronaldo: Portugal team-mate makes Real Madrid and Man Utd claim after Spain draw
BERNARDO SILVA lauded Portugal team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo after his exploits in his side’s World Cup draw with Spain.
Ronaldo produced a scintillating display, netting a hat-trick as Portugal and Spain played out a six-goal thriller in Sochi.
The 33-year-old’s treble was the 51st of his career to date and his final goal - a free-kick - gave his side a vital point.
Ronaldo has been in fabulous form for club and country this year and continues to show why he is widely considered one of, if not the world’s greatest player.
But his Portugal team-mate Silva wasn’t at all surprised.

In fact, the Manchester City playmaker is convinced that Ronaldo is getting better with age and is used to high-pressure games, having thrived in them with Real Madrid and before that Manchester United.
“I think he is used to it, this kind of night,” Silva said when praising Ronaldo.
“Once again he was fantastic. He helped us get this point.
