Meanwhile, UP Estate department was still assessing the damages to inventories and also the missing items from government bungalow vacated by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Estate Officer Yogesh Shukla said on Friday that the work to complete the inventory damaged or missing was being prepared by different departments. “ It will take some time to prepare the list as several constructions were done by the former Chief Minister himself as per his taste and choice,’’ he said.

The state government had ordered a probe into the alleged vandalism in the bungalow vacated by Akhilesh Yadav on June 6. Besides, orders were given to take stock of inventory in all bungalows vacated by former Chief Ministers as per Supreme Court’s order.

Governor Ram Naik also directed the state government to initiate a probe and take legal action against Akhilesh Yadav as the bungalow he was occupying was maintained by tax payer’s money. However, Akhilesh accused the BJP government of trying to malign his image by terming him a ‘tap thief’.
