HYDERABAD: Two mentally challenged children, aged 12, were allegedly killed by their maternal uncle here, police said on Saturday.

The accused allegedly brought the two children at his rented accommodation from their home at Miryalguda near Nalgonda in Telangana and strangulated them to death last night, the police said.

The incident came into light after the owner of the house, where the accused was living, noticed the bodies being shifted into a car, they said.

Based on the complaint of the house owner, a case has been registered against the man.

Earlier, the accused had told his neighbours that the twins caused pain to his sister and the family faced problems because of them, the police said.
