BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana will commence his tour of the State from Srikakulam on June 20.
Located in the north-east part of the State, leaders usually consider it auspicious to launch important programmes from Srikakulam.
Former CBI Joint Director V.V. Lakshminarayana and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan too had launched their respective missions from Srikakulam in the recent past.
The BJP leader will reach Srikakulam in the early hours of June 20 by Visakha Express. Party functionaries plan to take out a huge rally on that day. He will address party workers and participate in the International Yoga Day celebrations the following day. A meeting with the who’s who of the city is also slated on that day.
“Mr. Lakshminarayana’s tour will certainly strengthen the party in the district,” say senior BJP leaders P. Tirupati Rao and D. Ravindra. In Vizianagaram, party leaders P. Pati Murali and K. Subba Rao have chalked out a plan to make his visit on June 22 and 23 a grand success.
The party plans to take out a rally from the Ring Road to the Fort area. “Many prominent persons are expected to join the BJP in the presence of Mr. Lakshminarayana,” says Mr. Subba Rao.
