This nonchalant New Yorker could give a rat’s tush about rodent riders.
A rat trying to crawl up an escalator in the wrong direction was kicked in the whiskers by the impatient commuter around 3:30 p.m. Friday in the lower level of Grand Central, a video obtained by Gothamist shows.
“After it was kicked it scurried toward the Magnolia Bakery line, and people didn’t even notice,” Andrew Chen, who took the video, told Gothamist.
Maybe this rat should avoid escalator workouts and stick to the cupcakes. Or, you know, pizza.
Only in NYC is there a debate about the ethics of kicking a rat off an escalator. Man I love this city!https://t.co/hCfYGrcLaw

Apparently after crowd sourcing a name change from New Yorkers, local minor league team the Staten Island Yankees has reluctantly rebranded as the Staten Island Pizza Rats; I need a hat immediately https://t.co/0IiP4oFdtM pic.twitter.com/getPC2OOQf
