Lifetree Cafe: Daytona Beach
Growing up without a father will be discussed at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, June 17, at Lifetree Cafe, 142 Fairview Ave., Daytona Beach.
The program, titled "Fatherless: Getting Past the Pain of an Absent or Abusive Dad," features a filmed interview with Donald Miller, the best-selling author of Blue Like Jazz and Father Fiction. He describes growing up without a father and his attempts to reconnect with his father later in life.

Lifetree Café is an hour-long experience with interesting stories in a comfortable and safe place where participants have the opportunity to share thoughts about compelling topics and hear the thoughts of others.

UCCNSB plans free VBS program
Registration is open for the free Vacation Bible School at United Church of Christ, 203 Washington St., from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 23, through Sunday, June 25. Children, ages 3-12, will discover God’s love with the SonTreasure Island program, using 1 Corinthians 13 in their lessons, crafts, music and games.
