Chelsea transfer news: Eden Hazard worry revealed by Blues icon Eidur Gudjohnsen
CHELSEA can’t afford to let Eden Hazard leave as it would be terrible for the team, however it is 'natural' for the player to question the club's plans.

That is the view of former Chelsea icon Eidur Gudjohnsen.
Hazard’s Stamford Bridge has been the subject of ongoing speculation along with that of Antonio Conte, with Roman Abramovich yet to make a decision over his future.
Real Madrid are long-term admirers of Hazard, although it is unclear whether new boss Julen Lopetegui will make a push to sign the Belgian playmaker.
And Gudjohnsen is keeping his fingers crossed that Hazard stays otherwise he fears it will spell dire consequences for his old club.

Losing him would not be good for the team, but I am sure events at the club are on his mind
“I hope Eden stays, I really do,” Gudjohnsen said when quizzed over Hazard’s future.
“Losing him would not be good for the team, but I am sure events at the club are on his mind.
“They finished on a high winning the FA Cup after a disappointing season defending their league title, so I am hoping Chelsea stay close to his heart over the summer.
“He is still under contract and always speaks well of club.
“He seems to be happy but of course, we all know he has the talent and quality to play for any club.
“I’m pretty sure he’s focused on the World Cup with Belgium. But it’s only natural that he will be thinking ‘what are they doing with players coming in this summer?’
“I don’t suppose there will be a clear view until after the World Cup. I’m just hoping he stays.”
Hazard is currently on World Cup duty with Belgium and their first group game against Panama on Monday (4pm UK time).
