Yogi Adityanath met six eminent personalities of Lucknow

Carrying forward the Bharatiya Janata Party’s `Sampark for Samarthan’ campaign, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met six eminent personalities of Lucknow on Friday and threw light on the achievements of the Union government and sought their support for the party in the 2019 Lok Sabha poll. 

In his three-hour campaign, Yogi went to the homes of of doctor, retired bureaucrat, retired judges, theatre personality and educationist. He appealed to the dignitaries and their kin to support the BJP in 2019 Lok Sabha polls and also presented them with a booklet of the fourth anniversary of the NDA government.

The CM started his campaign on Friday morning at 9.30 am and met renowned cardiologist and Padamshree Dr Mansoor Ahmed at his residence. Yogi was accompanied by ministers Brajesh Pathak, Ashutosh Tandon and Swati Singh. All three are MLAs from Lucknow.

“Dr Ahmed has been serving people through his experience and giving new lease of life to affected people. The BJP government too was doing the work for welfare of humanity,” Yogi told reporters after coming of the cardiologist’s home.

Dr Ahmed, however said, that the Chief Minister spoke about development and other issues and politics was not at all discussed.       

After visiting Dr Ahmed, the CM went to the residence of Kargil martyr Manoj Pandey and met his parents and other kin.  There he stayed for almost 20 minutes recalling the supreme sacrifice of the braveheart. 

Later, late Manoj Pandey’s father Gopichand Pandey told reporters that they were happy that the Chief Minister came to their place. “It was an honour for us that the CM came to our house of his own volition. He considered us one of the important citizens of this city which makes us proud. My family assured support to the BJP,” he said.

Yogi also visited the residence of threatre personality Raj Bisaria, Retired Judge H N Tilhari, educationist Prof. Bhumitra Deo and Lt Gen (Retd) R P Sahi and sought their support for Narendra Modi in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Early this week, Yogi had met Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt in Lucknow under this campaign. Dutt was in Lucknow for shooting of his film `Prasthanam’.
