A BJP councillor's brother has been killed over a water connection in South Delhi's Sangam Vihar. The deceased has been identified as Krishan Bhadana.
He was shot at on Thursday night and admitted in AIIMS, but he succumbed to his injuries on Friday.

According to the police, the incident took place on Thursday evening at Rampat Gali, B Block, Sangam Vihar, because of a dispute over water.

"A quarrel took place between the accused Babli, his family, all resident of Sangam Vihar, and Krishan, his son Manish, and family. Babli and his family assaulted the other party with bricks and called their associates who fired gun shots.

Krishan and Manish sustained bullet injuries and their other family members were also injured," said a police officer.

The police have registered a case under Sections 307/34 of the IPC and 27/54/59 of Arms Act and have arrested five, including Babli, and her relatives.

"Raids are being conducted to apprehend the remaining accused," added the police official.
