Kathmandu, June 15
Co-chair of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal today said his party was working to prepare a base for socialism through prosperity and social justice.
Addressing a joint meeting of Press Chautari and Press Centre Nepal here, the former prime minister said that party unification had drawn the attention of international power centres. “The 21st century is an era of information and technology. Media should disseminate information without being biased,” added Dahal.
Dahal was of the opinion that party headquarters should be made powerful. He said that there should not be multiple power centres and added that communism collapsed in the then USSR as communist leaders tried to become all powerful and autocratic.
Likewise, General Secretary of NCP (NCP) Bishnu Prasad Poudel said that the sister organisations of the parties would be united soon.
