Robbery plan foiled, 4 held

CUTTACK: Choudwar police foiled a robbery bid at a filling station by a five-member dacoit gang on Thursday night. While police nabbed four dacoits, one managed to flee. Mobile phones and a bike, have been seized besides a a country-made revolver and 3 live ammunition from their possession. DCP Akhilesvar Singh said, acting on a tip off about some people assembling at an isolated place on Gopabandhu Padia at OTM Colony on Thursday night with deadly weapons, SI RK Seth and other staff raided the spot and apprehended four criminals. One of the criminals fled. During interrogation, the criminals confessed that they were planning to rob Kargil filling station in Choudwar.
