Seven persons were killed on spot and 27 others were seriously injured when a lorry carrying them fell into a gorge at Peddavanka forest location near Kuppam on Saturday night. The deceased included four women. The victims were farm labourers from Vaniyambadi division in Tamil Nadu.
According to sources, the driver lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a sharp curve and the lorry plunging into the 30-foot gorge.
