Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

In Assam, four persons have lost their lives in flood and landslide today. Over 4 lakh people have been affected due to flood in 7 districts. Areas at the Barak valley are among the worst affected.

NDRF and SDRF rescued 340 persons at Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi districts at Barak valley.

Landslide also affected normal life at Dima Hasao district. Sources said, one lakh people have been shifted to relief camps.

Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya visited flood hit areas at Barak valley to take stock of the situation.
