BENGALURU : Are you a football fan who cannot keep your eyes off the screen while you eat, drink and strain your vocal chords cheering for your favourite team? If yes, Monkey Bar is ideal for you to sit back and get high on the football fever this World Cup season. The decor is coordinated with the football craze, the bar is divided into two sides - the green and yellow zones. Even the coasters are designed with the yellow-green colour code. You can choose the side you’re supporting, take your seat and get ready to be drawn into the competitive spirit.

The football-friendly menu offers finger foods that you can have without having to take your eyes off the screen. Non-vegetarian fans have plenty of options to choose from - Khan’s Hot Dog, ‘No. 10’ Chilli Pork Belly, Fish Fingers, and Corn Chips served with the chicken dip. You also have the Mexican Wave, made of soft flour tortilla, honey and chipotle chicken.

What caught our interest was the Mini Bunny Chow, this South African dish is made of bread bowl with chicken stuffing. If you like your meat, the Chilli Pork Belly and the ‘Salty Fish Fingers’ are a must try. The subtle sweetness of the chilli pork perfectly blends in with the soft meat. And the soft fish is perfectly wrapped with the crispy layer on the outside.

Other munchies, that allow you to nibble through are the frickles, made of deep-fried pickled cucumber, carrot and radish; and the Football Farson’s, tit-bits include, curry and Parmesan popcorn, chilli and rosemary coated peanuts, fox nuts in and Togarashi. The variety of yummy bites served on the counter makes it easy to share and eat with your cheering squads. Small, easy, yet delicious portions of munchies are packed and presented in such a way, you won’t even realise how you end up gobbling them down with each score made through the match.

During half-time, you can keep yourself pumped up by gulping down the pitchers that are available at almost half the price. Other than the pitchers, you can choose from a variety of drinks available at the counter. Some of them include the Manga, made of vodka, aam panna, and sweet lime; and Mobar Spices Rum Mojito, made of spiced rum, lime and mint. The menu will be available throughout the FIFA world Cup tournament at Monkey Bar in Indiranagar. Cost for two: `1,400
