What is it?
The first ever encounter between Peru and Denmark in one of the most closely matched ties of the World Cup 2018 group stage.
When is it?
Saturday 16 June
What time is kick-off?
17:00 BST.
What TV channel is it on?
BBC and ITV are sharing the broadcasting of the 2018 World Cup. You can find this game on BBC One and BBC One HD.
Alternatively, you can follow the match live here with Telegraph Sport.
Where is the game being played?
At the Mordovia Arena in Saranska. The stadium only opened in April, and has been tested just once at it's full capacity. It was decorated red, white and orange to honour the traditional colours of the Mordovian province.
What is the team news?
Peru captain Paolo Guerrero's suspension was lifted just in time, and he will lead his team out in their first World Cup match in 36 years. Los Incas are injury free, but Jefferson Farfan, Edison Flores and Andre Carrillo are fighting for just two spaces in attack alongside Guerrero.
Nicklas Bendtner was left out of the squad after manager Age Hareide claimed he was injured, though perhaps unsurprisingly, Bendtner said he was fine.
With such precautionary measures, Denmark are also without injuries heading into the World Cup, but they are short in midfield as 33-year-old William Kvist looks set to start despite a very poor season with Copenhagen.
Tottenham's Christian Eriksen, who scored 11 goals in qualifying, is captain.
What's the latest news on the two teams?
Peru are on a 15-match unbeaten run, but incredibly, so are Denmark.
Based on recent form Denmark slightly edge Peru, with an impressive win over Mexico 2-0 in their final friendly before the World Cup whereas Peru only managed a draw against Sweden. Denmark are also one of the tallest teams in the tournament, whilst Peru are one of the shortest.
But the two sides are very well matched and the result is anyone's guess.
What are the odds?
- Denmark 7/5
- Peru 9/4
- Draw 4/1
What's our prediction?
Peru 2 Denmark 2
