Martha Lenora Divishek, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 14, 2018, at the Solon Nursing Care Center.
Celebration of Life services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church near Ely, with the Rev. Dr. Julie Schuett presiding. Burial will be in Czech National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2018,
at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, 2121 Bowling St. SW.
Martha was born Sept. 15, 1928, in rural Ely, the daughter of Henry and Lenora (Binko) Moses. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School, Class of 1946. Martha was united in marriage to Joseph Divishek on Sept. 3, 1947. She worked for many years at College Community Schools. Martha was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Martha is survived by her sons, Jon (Donna) Divishek of Solon, Richard (Dana) Divishek of Fairfax and Robert (Pam) Divishek of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Henry Moses.
Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church near Ely in her name.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at Westridge Care Center for years of wonderful care and Solon Care Center for making the last few months of her life awesome.
