BSNL-Patanjali SIM launched in Jharkhand

After being launched in Maharashtra and Haridwar, the BSNL-144 SIM card, under the collaboration of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Yoga-guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved Limited, was today launched in Jharkhand during a consultation among Bharat Swabhiman Trust, Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti, Patanjali Yuva Bharat and Patanjali KIsan Seva Samiti on Friday.

Every member that is associated with Patanjali and the cardholders of the Patanjali Swadeshi Samriddhi will be enjoying the benefits of the SIM card. The customers have to pay Rs. 144 for a month of unlimited calls, free roaming and 2GB data and 100 free SMS every day.

“For the time being, the SIM is a 3G network but we are working on getting the license to make it 4G,” said the Chief General Manager (CGM) of BSNL Jharkhand Telecom Circle, K. K. Thakur. He also said that the old BSNL SIM cards, that are not being used, will be restored by the retailers. “We are happy that people have trusted us with this and we assure you that there will be more feasible offers in the future,” added the CGM.

The CGM and the General Manager (GM) Marketing, Ramashray Prasad, of BSNL Jharkhand Telecom Circle said that they created the SIM keeping in mind the necessities of the members of the Patanjali family. They also encouraged the retailers to put up displays, of the offers by BSNL, outside their shops for the benefit of the customer.

During the consultation it was also established that on June 21, International Yoga Day, yoga programme will be organised in every district of the State and that Yuva Swabalamban Shivir, an independent camp for the youth of the State, will be conducted from June 23 to June 27 and an honorarium of Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 15,000 will be given to the 50-60 youths that have been recruited.

Alongwith the CGM and GM Marketing, State in Charge, Ramjeevan Pandey, Patanjali Kisan Seva Samiti State in Charge, Karam and various other officials were also present during the consultation.
