It looks like the cast of the upcoming Rajinikanth-Karthik Subbaraj film is getting bigger by the day. We had previously reported that the film also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha and Sanath Reddy. Now it’s confirmed that comedian Ramdoss, popularly known as Munishkanth is also a part of the team.

Speaking to CE, the actor says, “We’re currently shooting for the film in Darjeeling. I joined the team on the 10th and I’ve got another ten days of shoot left in this schedule. After a break, I’ll join the team again for another schedule which will last almost a dozen days.”

Munishkanth was not aware of the role he was going to play when he got on board. “When Karthik called me, he said it’s a good character and that’s all I wanted to hear.” His first day on the set was for a scene alongside Rajini.

“It was only a small dialogue, but with him next to me, I started blabbering. Rajini sir encouraged me and after a take, I pulled it off. He said that he had watched Managaram and appreciated my acting in it,” says the actor, adding that he managed to watch Kaala in Hindi, thanks to a two-day break in between. “I told him I loved the film.”
Produced by Sun Pictures, the untitled project is said to be a commercial film different from what Karthik Subbaraj has done till date. Anirudh will be composing music for this film.
