Lucifer turned out to be the little (BIG) show that could today, when news broke that Netflix had saved the canceled show, reviving it for a fourth season.
From the moment Fox decided to cancel the series, fans have been championing a massive #SaveLucifer campaign, hoping to get the series picked up by another network or streaming site, and though cancellations in general aren't quite as permanent as they used to be, it was still a total Hail Mary to think they'd succeed. The Devil wouldn't be denied though, and these fans actually pulled it off!
In light of the Netflix news, the cast turned out on Twitter to celebrate their pickup and thank the fans for their hard work in saving the show.
Lucifer himself, Tom Ellis exuberantly tweeted, "WE DID IT !!!!!!!!!!! Thank you to everyone for your continued support and love for #Lucifer I am so happy for all our fans I'm going to burst... You fans made this happen."
Lucifer Has Been Saved by Netflix, Thank God
"You fans are incredible. You did this," tweeted Lesley-Ann Brandt. "We are so happy to keep the family together. Lucifer on Netflix is back. Has a ring to it I say. Thank you @netflix and Thank you to each and everyone of you who fought like a demon!"
