VIJAYAWADA: Announcing to make virtual inspections time-to-time from the Real Time Governance (RTG) Centre situated at the Interim Government Complex in Velagapudi as well as to conduct surprise inspections, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday expressed satisfaction over the efficiency of officials. However, he felt that the government is facing criticism due to some negligent officials and cautioned to take action against such employees.
After conducting virtual inspections, the Chief Minister suspended two employees for dereliction of duty.
After observing the road between Chinapalem and Vallabhapuram in Kollipara mandal in Guntur district lying in a bad condition and the inconvenience being caused to the public, the Chief Minister issued orders suspending the site engineer.
After going through the heaps of garbage lying in Swaraj Maidan in Vijayawada, Naidu directed the Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner to suspend the concerned official and sought to know why the officials were not conducting proper supervision.
Making it clear that action will be initiated against those who fail to deliver their responsibilities, he said that officials should personally monitor the situation in the ground level by making personal inspection instead of confining to offices.
Asserting that the government is committed to providing better services to people, he sought their feedback so as rectify any sort of errors. Stating that there was no mechanism of the government seeking the feedback of people, he said that his government took the novel practice for further improvement of the services.
