Most recently, Mondal read his poems at the 19th Berlin International Poetry festival and also participated in the annual meeting of partners as the newest international coordinator for the Lyrikline Poetry network, House for Poetry, Berlin. Sonnet hopes to promote more Indian poets in years to come through this collaboration. The poet, who currently acts as one of the directors of the Odisha Art and Literature festival, had a series of events earlier this year. He conducted poetry writing workshops at the 2018 Fairway Galle Literary Festival, Sri Lanka, and read at this year’s Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Mumbai. Before this, in 2017, he represented India at the 10th Istanbul Poetry & Literature festival and is currently working as a guest editor for a special Indian language poetry edition in translation for the Words Without Borders magazine, New York. His recent works can be found in the publications of Kyoto Journal, Rockford Street Review, Mcneese State University, Sahitya Akademi, University of Wisconsin, Green Bay, Western New England University, University of Saskatchewan, Youngstown State University, Stockholm University, University of South Alabama, University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, and University of North Carolina among others.
